Where JessiKat (Jessi for short) is from. Jessi was adopted from the local RSPCA shelter in August, 2004. Prior to that, she was the dearly loved companion of a now-deceased lady.

About JessiKat (Jessi for short). Jessi is a Turkish Van and proud of it! Even with her middle-aged spread, Jessi LOVES to play. She doesn't limit herself to dry playthings, either ... in true Turkish Van style, Jessi will happily splash around in the water bowl, often submerging her front paws while she drinks.

Jessi is a very intelligent cat. If she wants something, she can figure out how to get it. Hungry? Open the cat food cupboard and help yourself!!!

I have three cats in total, who all share a large outdoor cattery, but my Jessi girl has the added privilege of being allowed out for 'walkies' - I clip a leash to her collar, and off we go. If Jessi feels it's time for a walk, and I approach the door without the leash, Jessi will happily jump up on the door, clinging by her claws and effectively blocking my path.

Jessi loves a good dirt-bath. One of the first things she does when we go 'walkies' is to find a patch of soft dirt in the front yard, and dive head-first into it. She doesn't stop until she has changed from white to brown :)

Jessi has the true markings of a Van (namely, ginger ears and tail, small patch of ginger on her back). I don't have her breed information, but I am pretty sure she is pure Van - both in appearance, and in behaviour :)
