EU countries participating in the PETS scheme
Introduction
The EU countries participating in the PETS scheme are listed below. The rules state that the pet and owner can travel freely between these countries and the UK as long as the pet has a valid pet passport.
The pet passport is not needed for pets travelling directly between the UK and the Republic of Ireland
Although Cyprus is listed as a PETS participating country, as of October 2005, pets travelling from north Cyprus (the area north of the Buffer Zone) must be licensed into quarantine for 6 months on arrival in the UK.
